The grass is growing… It’s raining again. It has rained every day for nearly 2 weeks now, and the grass is fast approaching my knees.
I’m inside again today, so I said to myself, “Hey, why not create a blog?”
I’d like to start by introducing you to some of my family. First there is my husband. He is a bit of a geek. Loves anything to do with the computer. That man can fantasy role play by the hour. He tends to give all his characters wolf-like names and appearances, which is a bit unnerving to me. You see, I keep sheep. I am a spinner, weaver and knitter and I love my wooly sheep. He says he does too, but you gotta wonder with this wolf thing…
Anyway, we have 5 sheep (and I’m kidding about my husband secretly wanting to eat them in the night), 2 Angora Goats (also for the fiber), 5 miniature horses, a bunch of chickens, 3 barn cats, and 5 dogs. Yes, I know that’s a lot of dogs…and one tortoise.
I’ll introduce you to them all as we go along. I hope you will join me as we explore the fun and comfort of my country adventures. There will be sheep shearing, dog antics, yarn dying, knitting, quilting, nature, some craziness and of course some food!
