Free Online Craftsy Classes!

Is it too hot to go outside where you live? It is here! We are having a heat wave in South Georgia that’ll melt your flip flops. Add to that the incredible humidity and, well, it’s a good day to stay indoors.

But what to do??               logoMed

How about a FREE Craftsy Mini Class?

There are a number of them to choose from. I’ve taken quite a few and they are great. Just because they are free doesn’t mean they have skimped on the content. Each one comes with printable information, materials lists, etc. There’s always something to learn.

For instance I’ve been working on a new knitting pattern design. I knew I would need some short rows (you knitters will know what I mean here). I know how to do a traditional wrap and turn, but I knew there had to other ways worth exploring.

So I took Short Rows Knitting Class for FREE! I learned a couple of new techniques and combined them to create my own version which will be incorporated into my finished pattern.

I’ve also taken Perfect Pizza at Home. Now I know how to make a variety of crusts and sauces. I can even download the recipes! The class covers how to make the best dough from scratch. It’s helpful to watch the kneading process to see how done by an expert. There is even a section on Gluten Free Pizza.

But I still need to know how to cut up my vegetables to put on my Pizza – So I’ve just signed up for the Complete Knife Skills class!

A while back I took a class on Bag Making – here’s my post on that.

Maybe when I’m done here I’ll go make another small bag using the other method they taught in the class.

There are lots of other FREE Classes – Quilting, Sewing, Gardening, even Photography.  Here’s the full list of Craftsy free mini classes to choose from. Take a look. I’m pretty sure you’ll find something to keep you busy on such a hot summer day! And you’ll still have the class when it’s too cold to go outside because they never expire! You can watch as many times as you like.

So that’s what I like to do on a hot summer day! How about you?
