Tour De Fleece is still running on Ravelry and I’m in a group. It’s a fun way to encourage each other to spin while the Bikes spin across France.
I posted my 1st skein a couple weeks ago. I’m not going to post my second small skein – it just wasn’t soft and I don’t like it…
So I decided to work on some fiber I bought several years ago (yes – years). It’s a Alpaca and Tussah Silk blend by Ashland Bay.
This was a fabulous fiber to spin, but it is so soft, it ended up all over me as I was spinning!
The fibers are very fly away and I imagine I will get a nice halo from the yarn once it’s knit up.
Anyway, here is the skein I finished a few days ago. It’s a whopper. 12.5 ounces and 624 yards!
I’m not sure what I want to knit with it yet, but I’m thinking maybe a shawl…
The Tour isn’t over yet, so I guess I better get back to the wheel!
