Free Knitting Pattern – “Running Around Mitts”

I’ve got another FREE knitting pattern to share with you! These are a quick knit too. You have plenty of time to get them done before Christmas. Wouldn’t they make an awesome gift?

A while back I made my “Running in Circles Hat”. You can get that pattern here. It’s free too.

I thought it would be nice to make some Mitts to go with the Poke Berry Pumpkin version. Check that one out here. And here.

I had some leftover yarn anyway.  This is what I came up with.

I made sure the spirals go in different directions on the left and right hands. And I kept the palm in stockinet for comfort.

These are made with a Worsted sized hand spun yarn. I haven’t attempted them in the Sport Weight like the original hat. But if you’ve made any mitts using that sized yarn before you could easily adjust this pattern to fit by simply adding more stitches. Just be sure to keep the total in a multiple of 6 plus 2.

I’m really liking these and plan to get a lot of use out of them!

And what a fun and quick gift with the Hat too!

Here’s a PDF of the Pattern.   Running Around Mitt

Hope you like them! I’ll post it on Ravelry too. I’d love to see some finished Mitts!
